Our Diabetes Diet
Noorani seekh (veg grilled kababs)
Ingredients :
  • French beans chopped- 40 gms
  • Carrot diced – 50 gms
  • Low fat paneer( cottage cheese) – 15 gms
  • Green chili finely chopped- 5 gms
  • Cauliflower coarsely chopped- 30gms
  • Potatoes boiled and peeled and mashed  / or boiled raw papaya mashed - 25 gms
  • Salt- ¾ tsf (tea spoonful)
  • Garam masala- ½ tsf
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves – 1tsf
  • Turmeric powder- ½ tsf
  • Finely chopped and fried garlic- ½ tsf
Method :
Blanche the French beans,carrots, cauliflower . Squeeze the excess water and blend smooth. Mix this with the boiled and mashed potatoes/ raw papaya and make a fine paste. Mix in grated paneer, green chilies, fried garlic., garam masala, cumin powder, coriander and turmeric, with the paste. Mix well and shape them as a sheekh kabab on a skewer, and bake them in the oven for 8minutes at 180 degrees celsius. Serve hot with lemon wedges and sliced onions.
